Below are resources shared by APS presenters in the Go To Strategies for Language Learning Success session at this summer's Dual Immersion Institute. The strategies presented are designed to promote the language development of second language learners by supporting five research-based principals outlined in the Go To Strategies booklet:
- Focus on academic language, literacy, and vocabulary,
- Link background knowledge and culture to learning,
- Increase comprehensible input and language output,
- Promote interaction, and
- Stimulate higher order thinking and the use of learning strategies.
