Governor's Honors Program 2018
The Georgia Governor's Honors Program (GHP) is a four-week, summer residential program designed to provide intellectually gifted and artistically talented high school students challenging and enriching educational opportunities not usually available during the regular school year. This year's program will take place at Berry College.
Activities provide each participant with opportunities to acquire the skills, knowledge, and attitudes to become independent, life-long learners. The Georgia Governor's Honors Program is fully funded by the Georgia General Assembly and operates at no cost to participants.
WHO: High School sophomores and juniors in public, private, and home schools are eligible for nomination in one of twenty areas.
LANGUAGES: Chinese, Latin, French, German and Spanish

Requirements:
- Be a current sophomore or junior in good academic standing
- Have a strong interest in the world language that you are learning
- Have a proficiency on the intermediate level or higher in the language
- Current enrolled in the level 3 or higher of the language
- Willingness to complete an independent project
- Note: Students may not be a native speaker of the language OR have lived and attended school in a foreign country in which the language is spoken for 3 or more consecutive years
